Freelancer Public Relations Coordinator (Candidate based in Qatar only) - Qatar Foundation

Job Purpose:

Executing day to day PR activities of IASP 2014. The PR Coordinator will have to keep track of all content-based communications material. The duties will include drafting press releases, drafting speeches and articles and updating the website. The duties would also include translation, organizing the various publications, organizing photo and video libraries. The PR Coordinator would mainly have to record most of the activities taking place in the department from a PR perspective and create needed presentations, project proposals and records in a timely and professional manner.

Key Result Areas:

- Drafts press releases, speeches and articles in both English and Arabic
- Constantly updates IASP 2014 collateral materials following approved Communications Strategy and guidelines.
- Ensures that the maintenance of IASP 2014 content-based material is carries out as per the approved schedule and standards.
- Works closely with Head of PR & Communications to develop an action plan to maintain constant media exposure based on a pre-approved communications calendar
- Organized the various publications and photo and video libraries.
- Initiates and prepares projects documentation and obtains required approvals.
- Assists with the collateral material gathering and tracking after events.
- Updates media contact sheets and devices market research about top rated websites and latest trends and topics in relevant domains.
- Writes down minutes of meeting and actions needed to be taken after meetings and assists in drafting and keeping record of media plans relevant to the events carried out
- Monitors progress of work and ensures completion on time.

- Works on external communications: provides needed content for TV appearances, radio interviews, magazine interviews based on the guidelines provided by the Head of PR and Communications.
- Works on Social Media strategy
- Works with Graphic Designer to ensure QSTP's website and any other electronic channel is updated and properly enriched with approved content by the Head of PR and Communications.
- Maintains appropriate records and statistics based on templates provided by Head of PR and Communications to benchmark and keep track of the Public Relations strategy.
- Handles relations with service providers, follows up on work requests, and ensures their work is delivered on time.
- Works with Marketing and Logistics to ensure all requirements are met for press conferences or media attendance during events.
