Senior Payroll Accountant - Umm Bab, Qatar - Reed Specialist Recruitment

A large industrial services company with operation outside of Doha in Umm Babb are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant. SAP experience is essential.

Duties:

To ensure the payroll, systems and processes across the Group are appropriate to business needs, producing accurate and timely employee remuneration payments together with effective management and administration of employee benefits.
• Complies with state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• The forward planning and development of Payroll Systems to ensure that, changes in business activities and other regulatory requirements are fully supported by the payroll systems.

• Control, coordination and reporting of payroll matters such as ESB, medical insurance and other employee benefit plans etc.

• Establish protocols and procedures for maintaining the payroll system in order to accommodate changes affecting the way in which the system is structured, managed and maintained, e.g. changes to organizational structures, business unit and accounting codes, employee benefit plans and other regulatory requirements.

• Setting the work standards for data entry, payroll processing, codification etc. which Payroll and operational staff must follow in order to ensure systems integrity and accuracy of recorded employee data.

• The production of accurate employee pay and benefits and the organization of transfers of employees in and out of the business.

• Establish robust processes and procedures to ensure accurate recording of employee personal and payroll data together with the production of meaningful payroll management information and reports as requested by senior management.

• Provide functional leadership for payroll teams providing regular expert guidance and advice as required.

• Any other payroll projects or initiatives as reasonably requested by senior management.
