Senior Civil/Structural Engineering Manager, Qatar - Gulf Connexions

Our client, an established name in the Oil and Gas Industry is looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineering Manager to join their expanding team in Qatar. The ideal candidate has to provide technical support to Projects on design matters during detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation and the commissioning stage, which often involves site visits.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that designs are optimal, safe, cost effective and in compliance with the latest codes, standards and procedures.
• Participate in the technical bid evaluation, safety & loss prevention and other environmental aspects of the technical bids.
• Revamp/upgrade as necessary, on techno-economic basis and undertake and evaluate structural/civil design studies for grassroots or existing facilities.
• Ensure that structural/civil designs created using latest technology are cost effective and delivered in a timely manner consistent with project requirements.
• Reviews detailed design specifications and drawings for projects and ensures fitness for purpose and technical quality, in terms of providing safe/environmentally acceptable facilities, in compliance with the standards.
• Provide a professional technical service to projects in all areas of structural/civil engineering during Concept Optimisation & Feasibility Studies; Front End Engineering Design; and Detailed Design during the EPIC Execution stage.
