MEP Estimator

Analyzes blueprints and other documents and prepares detailed cost estimates. Responsible to perform accurate quantity takeoffs of available design documents.
Leads the development of conceptual and feasibility cost model estimates utilizing historic benchmarking information and industry experience in order to develop complete early stage cost estimate forecasting.
Obtains accurate and up to date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc. to utilize in estimates.
Reviews and finalizes estimate unit cost pricing to reflect current market conditions and specific project logistics. Review historic benchmark cost information and highlight variances.
Corresponds professionally with architects and engineers for clear understanding of project scope during preparation of estimate.
Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates, and explain variance cost drivers.
Champions delivery of Constructive Expertise at all aspects of project.
Indetifies partnership opportunities and capitalizes on "add-on" revenue goals.
Assists in the identification of strategic accounts.
Grows long-term relationships with clients and key consultants and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities.
Maintains awareness of new and emerging industry practices and the potential application on client engagements.
Raises our visibility through involvement in local industry organizations.
Ensures effective communication between project team members and key stakeholders including client, consultants, contractors, and public entitities.
Serves as key participant in team and client meetings, acting as chair as appropriate.
Effectively communicates relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers in other practices.
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
Confronts issues openly and quickly.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
Tactfully communicates difficult/sensitive information.
Manages day to day client interaction and expectation for large-scale capital expansion project
Anticipates clients needs and proposes alternative business solutions.
Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
