Job Purpose:
Foster, support and promote national development throughout QF directories and centres through the attraction, selection, recruitment, development, motivation and retention of Qatari trainees.
Key Result Areas:
- Works with directors and managers of QF headquarters and its centers to identify positions for Qataris and supports attraction, selection, recruitment, development, motivation and retention of Qataris to achieve targeted plans. Helps develop short and long-term strategies to achieve the above.
- Supplies information and data in a timely and accurate manner to all stakeholders all databases periodically.
- Acts as focal point for trainee recruitment at QF, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all products are followed correctly and in line with directorates and centers requirements.
- Attracts high quality nationals through organizing and participating in career fairs (primarily QCF and the QF branch campus fairs), using the QF website, running media campaigns, liaising with QF branch campuses, establishing a referral programme, etc, with a focus on attracting candidates from leading universities and QF branch campuses.
- Helps organize regular trainee events such as the quarterly gatherings, Annual Trainee Recognition Ceremony and other meetings.
- Drafts, implements, and reviews career development plans for trainees in liaison with directorates and centers.
- Provides counseling services to the trainees and carries out periodic reviews of trainee morale through satisfaction surveys and regular meetings. Takes corrective measures and helps develop successful retention schemes.
- Acts as focal point for work experience programs at QF directorates and centers for interns, planning organizing and running as necessary.
- Participates in annual Tesslam Award process, compiling and analyzing data to produce recommendations for senior management.
- Continuously evaluates and identifies mechanisms to improve processes and works to implement these, e.g. through automation.
- Liaises with Talent Sourcing and Development and other HR department colleagues on departmental trainee issues.
- Carries out any other responsibility as entrusted by Head of National Development / Manager of Training and Development / Director of Talent Sourcing and Development.
- Familiarize, understand and implement QF health, safety, and environment policy, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility. Ensures coordination with HSE department in implementing, monitoring and reviewing of HSE performance to ensure work under his/her control is performed in a safe, healthy and environmentally sound manner.
